So the last two weeks I talked about the aura and how this energy field is constantly radiating energy and colour and exchanging with our environment and the people me meet.

But in addition to radiating colour from our aura me also have energy centers or charkas as they are often called, that radiate a specific colour too. There are seven major chakras and me have many minor chakras. I actually work with eight chakras, the seven major chakras and one minor chakra located at the back of our neck.

These centers/chakras are like eight spinning wheels of energy located just in front of the spine and positioned from the tailbone to the crown of the head. Where the Charkas are placed implies their respective levels of consciousness; each Chakra receives, stores and transmits energy while representing distinct frequencies of Universal energy.

So what are Chakra’s and there meaning? The word ‘Chakra’ comes from the ancient Sanskrit language, meaning ‘wheel’ or ‘disk’. Each Chakra links our subtle body energy with our physical bodies; each one is responsible for channeling energy into specific organs, endocrine glands and the various body systems. The faster these wheels of light spin, the more energy they can receive and transmit, which in turn means an improvement in overall health and well-being.

Chakras are associated with our physical, mental, emotional & spiritual states. When energy does not flow freely from the chakras, the body does not function properly and this will mean that they will be underactive or overactive. me need to reestablish the free flow of energy in order to heal. And so if energy isn’t flowing as it should, then this results in blocked energy and if left undetected over a period of time, this will manifest into dis-ease in the body and so you may become ill.

As me expose our body to different colours our bodies absorb that colour vibration, changing our own body’s energy vibrations which can bring our chakras energy back into balance.

I work with the 8 chakras in the body during my consultation and workshops so I shall explain what these chakras are, their meaning and their corresponding colour.

Our first chakra is called the Base or Root Chakra located at the base of the spine. This center/chakra is associated with the kidneys, spinal column, legs, hips, adrenal system and feet. It is also thought to help blood and circulation issues. This charka is linked to the colour red. The red energy in this center means this center is linked with courage, physical and emotional survival, grounding and security.
The second chakra is called the Sacral Chakralocated just below the belly button. This chakra influences the genital area, reproductive organs, sexuality, lower intestine, gall bladder and kidneys. This center is linked to the colour orange, so is linked to creativity, sexuality, joy, self-esteem and confidence.
The third chakra is called Solar Plexus, located just under the rib cage. This is our power center and influences the pancreas and liver as well as the digestive & nervous system. This chakra is associated with the colour yellow. And so is linked power, courage, self-worth and laughter.
The fourth chakra is the Heart, located at the heart. Associated with the heart, lungs, thymus gland. This chakra is linked to green. Green is associated with unconditional love, forgiveness and compassion.
The fifth charka is the Throat, located at the throat. This center is responsible for thyroid, throat, mouth, neck, shoulders and hearing. This center is associated with blue and is linked with communication and self-expression. This center is the bridge between the physical and spiritual worlds.
The sixth chakra is third eye, located between our eye brows. Associated with the skull, eyes, pineal gland, nervous system and brain. This center is linked to the colour Indigo, mental clarity, intuition and wisdom. Indigo is great at calming the mind and a good aid for sleep and meditation.
The seventh chakra is the Crown (top of the head). Associated with the top of the spinal cord, brain stem and pineal gland. This center is associated with the colour violet, self-knowledge, spirituality & your higher consciousness. This chakra helps you live your life purpose.
The eight chakra is Alta Major chakra, also known as the “zeal point” and has been described as a 5th dimensional chakra. This chakra is located at the base of the skull. This chakra is associated with the occipital area of the brain, which is connected to the optic nerve and is related to vision, spiritually and physically. This center is working when you walk ahead and you sense someone behind you before you turn around. It is associated with the colour magenta. This center can carry energy of past lives and so also influences our soul purpose.

So in order to keep these centers balanced there are various techniques you can use? One way is to do a colour meditation, you can download my colour meditation audio for free from my website if you haven’t done so already. I see my students glow after they do this colour meditation.

Another way is to place your hands on each chakra point and once you feel a tingling then move on to the next center until you have completed all the eight chakras. When this is completed move your hand, with the palm facing towards you in a downward direction from your crown to your base, asking that these centers and balanced at an appropriate level for you.
Lie down and place a crystal chakra set on the eight energy points and just concentrate on breathing. I recommend you do this for at least 10 minutes. Cleanse your crystals by running them under cold water and let them dry by the window so you can use them again.
So this week monitor how you feel as you pay attention to these centers. I balance my chakras before I get up and so I am in a good state to start my day.:o) Vibrantly, Marcia
